Christin studied drums in Germany, Netherlands & Los Angeles (USA). She has played on diverse (inter)national festivals (Big Band Festival Imatra (Finland), Jazzfestival Grahamstown (South Africa), Port Townsend Jazzfestival (USA)) and toured recently through the Middle East, East Europe and China. She recorded albums with different bands & projects with a wide range of genres from heavy big band-jazz to pop, funk/soul and also classical avantgarde/new music stuff. Christin was a lucky member of the high prestigious "Popkurs" in Hamburg (2014/2015). In 2016 she established the cinematic sound orchestra "Operation Grand Slam". This large ensemble plays Funk, Boogaloo & punchy Jazz-Rock (sounds like driving through L.A. in the 60s) and has already played at Open Jazz Festival 2016 and Elbjazz Festival 2017. Besides from that, Christin composed film music for the short movie "One last sigh before nightfall" (dir.: Heikko Deutschmann, arte/SWR production) which was running on film festivals worldwide (New York, New Delhi, London, Berlin, Afula/Israel, Kitzbühel/Austria, Middlebury, Vermont/USA & beyond) and awarded with numerous prices. At the moment she's writing for her first solo project "Christin Neddens' Noise X".
Christin is now living and working in Hamburg and rewarded with the Composition Scholarship for young artists of the Ministry for Science & Culture Lower-Saxony, the Dorothea-Erxleben-Scholarship at University for Music, Theatre & Media in Hanover and the prestigious Dr. Langner Jazz Master Scholarship at University for Music & Theatre in Hamburg.
